I use CoreTemp, RealTemp, and everest. Coretemp shows 5C higher than RealTemp and Everest is always in the middle of the two. Im torn.

Well I figured that I would Jump In, Im kinda of new to over clocking, I currently have the q6600 at 3.4 I can take it to 3.6 No problem, however when im at 3.4 I idle at about 37-39 and when at 3.6 at 39-42, load on both are around 59-62. I have never overclocked Mem, so I let my board do that for me, My question is really, How much of a Difference would it make if I lapped my heat sink.

Here are my specs, (if anyone knows how to overclock mem please feel free)

You kinda have to make your own thread about that.....

VID if 1.3125? Eeek. Well, your chip isn't bad, but it's not very good...

Basically what that means is your proc will require more voltage (than ones with lower VIDs) in order to obtain higher stable clock. My proc (which still isn't great) has a VID of 1.2750
