Well, tax money is in. Anyone know where I can get a G0 Q6600 Guaranteed?

I know... I know... I know... "WHY NOT WAIT FOR THE NEW QUADS?"

Because the Q6600 is really all I really need right now... and I am not planning to upgrade anymore until Nelham

Micro Center still has Q6600 GO's In store only for $199. http://www.microcenter.com/index.html Check to see if your close to one. They let me pick which one I got but from the look of it all they had was GO. Every review (almost every, some don't specify) at Newegg is saying they're getting GO SLACR's. OEM version also report receiving GO's, but I always buy retail for the warranty. I replaced 2 AMD chips when they died without issue, but I have never had to return an Intel cpu.

I bought mine from newegg and it was a G0- that was in January.

You could always purchase from newegg and if it isn't G0 (which is very likely now since the B3's are out of circulation) then you could RMA it.

OH btw I ordered an OEM chip and it was G0 if that helps with your decsion at all

Its better to wait on the newer quads anyways. Let them get a couple of revisions under their belt and prices most likely will be to high at first release. Even the budget quads like the Q9300 and Q9450 will be higher than the Q6600.
