3.6GHz Q6600 Voltages - Page 5

Very nice indeed then, that is an outstanding cpu. Do not ever let it out of your possession . Seems like with every new chipset release, the stable vcores on Q4's gets a tad lower.

Wait... is the 680i even able to go lower or is it stuck at x9?

Yes you can run an x8 multi. Are you giving SPP (northbridge) enough voltage? With the quad core, the SPP needs more then a dual core. SO I would try 1.4v, and if that isnt stable, try 1.5v. But dont go over 1.5v to the SPP as NVIDIA states that is the max recommended SPP voltage. Also set FSB voltage to 1.4v if you havent already.

It was too hard to resist. But you have to understand, your little experiment with the E8400 saved a lot of people's E8X00 CPUs! They all should be thanking you for being the first with the E8400.

No go lol... tried 1.5 as well. How do I change the multi on the 680i? I can't even select it under the bios...

Everything is fine... just Worker thread #4 fails after only running prime95 for 1-2 minutes... Pc doesn't reboot...

You will find the multi in System Clocks.

Can you list all your voltages?

i don't have the same board you have but this is great. there's no documentation out for my dfi dk p35 board as of yet only "look at the new dfi board" i'm trying to get max OC for 24/7 use and by reading threads like this greatly helps.

you might have a vdroop problem. coz i have a 680i before and it needed a vdroop mod for it to make q6600 stable.

From 1.45v vcore up, it'll boot into windows and won't randomly reboot. Just doesn't pass the Prime95 test... well Worker Thread #4 doesn't.

Also I already did the vdroop mod, works wonders! Just I am thinking it's the board that is limiting me... if that's the case I am going to have to settle for 3.4GHz
