Budget Build

Thread Starter
Well i'm doin a budget build which is also my first build... I'll post up my plan. I already got a case. If you think anything can change or you have a better build could you share it? I want LGA 775 and 9600gt in it though (with the performance and prices honestly who wouldn't want one in a budget build?)

CPU:Intel Pentium E2180 Allendale 2.0GHz
Apparently these can be overclocked to 3ghz on air

MOBO:GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L

RAM:OCZ Gold 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2

VGA:XFX 9600gt

HD:Maxtor 250gb 7200rpm 8mb cache

PSU BOUGHT: RAIDMAX Hybrid 2 RX-530SS 530W

So yea... comments? Got a better build? I can probably dig up optical drives around my house, so you don't need to include that if you post up another build. And if not i'll think of that some other time since they don't cost much.

Edit: I PSU for $33 after Promo and MIR. WOOHOO!

Do you have the OS?

I'd go with this memory instead.

I'd then go with this hard drive instead.

I wouldn't skimp on a psu like that so I'd go with this power supply if you can fit it in your budget.

The motherboard isn't the best, but it'll do the job. I'd go with this motherboard instead.

P31 and P35 belongs to intel Barelakte chipset. P31 is the trimmed version P35. It has resaonable OC capability. If you can put in extra $20, you can have P35 DS3L. For the PSU, I would go for $49 Antec Earthwatts 430W. For ram, this $32 Ballistix DDR2-800 is another good option.

linskingdom, the IP35-E is $60 after MIR again on Newegg. You can also get a Corsair 550 for $55 on Buy.com with google checkout.

don't get me wrong, thats a nice rig, but I'm 16 and without a job (I'm looking for one but in my town thats a hard thing to do for someone my age). So i really need to keep it down as much as possible. And that rig is way to expensive for me...
