Good luck
Hi, thanks for post I looked at the thread and for everything it requires you to lower the multi and I dont have that option also upping ram to 3volts won't that have a danger of causing permanent damage to my ram?

Chaos, I believe that was in reference to DDR1 memory. You would use the same maximums per DDR2 specification. It also depends on the IC's that are located on your memory.
I had a look at your manual and I'm surprised that changing the CPU Multiplier is not a available. Are you tried playing with BIOS 1009?

Good luck

the cpu voltage control is on the "jumperfree configuration" screen in the bios (in version 0806 at least)

turn cpu overvoltage from "auto" to "off" (it's in between the ram voltage settings and the northbridge voltage settings)

the actual cpu voltage settings are 4-5 options up the page (i think it's inbetween "ht link" and the multiplier settings if memory serves me well) you can bump the cpu in .05V increments all the way up to something like 1.6v, so the mobo's not limiting you're cpu voltage

this is all assuming that the phenom options are not stripped on this board,

PS:
-my FSB is at 315 right now, and the board maxes out around 350
-the northbridge does get pretty hot on mine so a cooler may help you (4x1gb sticks oc'd by 100mhz might have something to do with it, but i'm not too familiar with what stresses a NB other than fsb)

good luck, i was contemplating getting a 9500 for cheap, just as an oc experiment but the b3's are too close

Ok just a quick update:

NB --> This was before i read the last 3 posts

FSB 236
RAM 200
Timings AUTO

TEST 1
I increased Ram Voltage from 2.10 to 2.15
RESULT
Prime95 aborted test after 1 minute of Prime95 Blend test - Errors occured

TEST 2
I increased Ram Voltage from 2.10 to 2.25
RESULT
Prime95 aborted test after 3 minute of Prime95 Blend test - Errors occured

TEST3
I increased Ram Voltage from 2.10 to 2.3
RESULT
Machine reset after 4 minute of Prime95 Blend test

I will now go and try and increase the CPU voltage and see whats happening. I will also follow that guide (Hopefully without messing up lol) and see what my limites are. But just to reiterate, RAM VOLTAGE @2.9 to you guys wont blow my ram right? cos im told by a few not to do it as the liklihood of a mini mushroom cloud in my tower is highly probable......

Ok so i downgraded my Bios to 1009 and still see no option to increase voltage so finally i enabled VCore over-voltage and WOW did my performance increase. I went up from 11114 --> 12484 3DMark06 score Very nice indeed. and all i did was activate VCore Over Voltage.

In terms of finding the limit for my board thats harder than it sounds as my ram and CPU both OC via the FSB as well as the HT. So increasing 1 increases everything I stopped at 230 FSB, i primed for 5 minutes and all was good except my temps. They went up to 62c before i cancelled the test. So i need a new cooling solution to keep temps down before i do anything.

one thing of concern though was my NB. Im told and have read in many places this should not exceed 1800MHZ but mine is 2000+MHZ. Any ideas why?

Finally any one know where to buy Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme? i cant find it anywhere in stock........
