Motherboard Decision...again

Ok, so the DK P35-T2RS turned out to be DOA and when I shipped it back, they had no others in stock(motherboardpro.com). They have taken great care of me thus far but now I am going to order a different board from them and I have three choices I am looking at.

DFI DK X38-T2R
Abit IP35 Pro
DFI LT P35-T2R

If you have other suggestions lemmy know long as motherboardpro.com carries it and is in the same price range.

Disregard price, I am looking for the best OC on my E8400 on air. If I wasn't so indecisive I would have just picked one by now lol. Thanks for the help all, I love having the ability to get help from OC.net and all of the great people who frequent the forum.

Why the 'but it is a P35 board'?

Most people like X38 but actually P35 is one of the most mature chipset for OC.

So why would I want a X38 over a P35? All I know about X38 is that it has PCI Express 2.0 support. Not sure what else.

You want x38 for CrossFire @ 16x, 16x.

Is CrossFire the only advantage? I don't know if I will ever utilize it or not.

When I was looking for my board--just a couple weeks ago--I did a lot of research. I picked the X38 over the P35 mostly because of the memory controller improvements. The peak throughput is much higher in the newer chipset.

I settled on a Maximus Formula, and couldn't be happier with it :-)
