Thanks all for your help, I really appreciate it, I hope to have the card sometime next week.

BTW, anyone have any idea/found out what the OC threshold can be with stock cooling? Probably not smart with my income, but one can dream cant he?

8800GS is to match hd3850. 9600gt is about the same as 8800GT and hd3870 so go for 960gt. In fact, I would go for 8800gt if you can put in exra $30 or so.

one thing to note, get the card based on the ram and bit not on the clock speed. it is easy to change the clock speed 50-100Mhz. imo the 9600 would be better becasue like other said it is newer technology and supposedly does well in sli. on the other hand, i opted for the radeon 3870 for a similar price.
