Where are these firewire ports????

Ok, newegg says this board Abit IP35 Pro LGA 775 has 2X 1395 ports onboard. I don't see them in the photos. Can someone please point them out to me...I must be going BLIND.

its on-board not rear port. if you look at the manual for the mobo you can see the ports marked on the diagram. you would need a firewire card or firewire ports on your case to use it.

you just need something like this (although this one is usb and firewire)...

sometimes mobo companies include them, sometimes they play too cheap

you could also find a bay thingy with front ports

yES. I have one of those. I was hoping for the photo to show the headers. Instead I thought it was a spec error, which made me mad that I would have to download the user manual just to verify that it had 1394 headers.

the red headers SHOULD be your fireware headers..

It's still cheaper to buy the ip35-e non-pro and get a firewire card. Not sure about the pci vs. pci-e version.
