Does my Antec 900 blow?

Thought the title was funny.

So I absolutely LOVE the case, but my tems are terrible! I even have the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro and Arctic Silver 5 on it! I even used the site and did exactly what it said. I turned off my overclock back down to 3.47 from 3.90 and it still will not drop below 32C idle. My room is a lot colder than that, and when I had the crappy stock Intel cooler it went down to 26! I am so confused. I lapped the processor and heatsink so they are perfectly flat just to make sure. Maybe it's a waiting game for the thermal paste so sink in? I have the fans arranged for optimum air flow, as I read somewhere in a forum.

Any suggestions how to get my temps down?

I, perssonally, think the A900 does not improve CPU temps that much. I think its major benefit is for overall component cooling. Whn I mover to the A900 from my previous case, the CPU temps dropped by a degree or two, but it helps keep the GFX card, mobo, hdd's, etc. cooler.

True... It keeps my HDD down to a frosty 20C... as well as my motherboard... it's around 24C. Any ideas how to keep my CPU temps down?

Either a better cooler or possibly a better fan on that cooler. You may also be able to get a degree or two from lapping.

One of the heatpipes might be dead on your Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. That would explain why you get better temps with the stock cooler. Yeah a new cooler would be best though.

I wouldn't worry to much about your idle temp IMO, load it up with "prime95" and check the load temp with "coretemp"
