Hey I just got Photoshop CS3 and i dont know what the hell im doing, Im trying to restore old photos and touch them up. Ive already watched//Read a days worth of Tutorials and How To's. But i Still have NO CLUE what to do. What i know so far is to Make another layer, then i pick the bandaid and then press ctrl or alt, Mouse click to copy the color then i move the mouse over to a spot to fix it and when i do it that spot either doesnt copy the color, or makes it really blurry. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem, i need it put in the simplist form because im really really stupid lol

Sounds like you need to change the brush you are using. The bar on the top should show what Brush is selected when you select your tool (pencil, brush, etc.).

I actually find the Smudge tool to be really useful with touching up, because it pulls colors from where you click, to where you drag. So you can blend easier. I'm no good at explaining thing without being there to show you, but hope this helps some.

It copys the colors but to dark or to light, it doesnt match the image color itself. I tried to lower the hardness but i still couldent get it, it seems like transparency is needed but im not sure where that is

Change the Mode from Normal to Replace. Tell me if that's what you were looking for.

Not sure this helps, but try using the patch tool. I never use the healing brush.... always the patch tool. I tend to get good results with it.

I'm guessing CS3 is the first Photoshop program you've ever owned. It's a large, complicated, sometimes confusing program. Just fool around with tools and get comfortable with them. Learn what you can and cannot do with them through experimentation.

Elaborate on that, I don't quite get what you are asking.
