Xp keeps finding new hardware on bootup

I found a old creative audigy from a p4 pc I've had laying around and figured I would put it in mine since it'd be better then onboard. I'm using xp.

I installed the latest drivers from creative and it works fine but whenever I boot up I keep getting "found new hardware".

I tried running the wizard and even picking the drivers manually but the damn thing will always fail and never find the drivers.

In device manager there is a pci slot marked with a ! sign so I tried disabling it, but I still get the massage.

I don't know what else to do. Is there anyway to permanetely disable this?
I tried turning of shell hardware detection but that comes back up when it restarted so I keep getting the message.

you may not have installed all the drivers

its your onboard audio that it's picking up, see if you don't have an option to disable it bios. I had the same problem and this fixed it for me.

Just tried disabling it in bios and it worked.
Thanks man, repped.

I didn't even think that it might have been the onboard that was the issue.
