Core Temp Question..

Thread Starter
So I just downloaded Core Temp to check the temps on my new Black Edition 5000. I have the Tuniq Tower 120 installed in my Antec 900 case. Ok, so obviously there is alot of air moving inside this thing. I have my A/C on in my room so its not freezing cold or anything, but its around I would say 59 - 62F.

Right now, Coretemp is reading 4*C and 8*C on both cores....

Surely this is a mistake right?.......

DAMN! Who is paying that energy bill?!

I cry when mine is set at 76F.

And yes, those temps seem a bit low for any CPU not on phase cooling. I always used speedfan when I had AMD (2 months ago).

Ok, Deleted core temp and downloaded speed fan. Temps are hovering around 25 - 28 on each core.

That sound about right for my application?

Well, here is the thing now.

I am running wow in windowed mode so I can keep an eye on the temps. Core 0 is running at a MAXIMUM of 16*C while the Core 1 is at 75!!!!!!!!!

What is the deal here? Thanks for the info.

BTW it is clocked at 3000MHZ right now. Only thing I changed in bios was the multipler. Thanks again
