4200+ x2 & Biostar nForce 560

Thread Starter
So me and a buddy swapped boards, since he has a 5000BE, we switched, he got the 690g, and i got a nForce 560.

This has much more options than the 690g, the farthest i ever got on there was 3.0ghz but failed at 5 hours into prime, but now ive got this board. I've been reading this article. http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.aspx?i=3051&p=2

So im testing it out, what divider should i be using, ht link?, voltages, here's the specs, my goal is just to hit 3.0ghz and leave it as is.

Right now its at 4x HT Link, 1.37v vcore, 1.325 chipset voltage, and divider at 667.

Motherboard: Biostar T-Force 560
CPU: AMD Athlon x2 4200+ (65nm)
Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 64
Case & PSU: Coolermaster Centurion 5/Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN
Ram: OCZ Reaper HPC Dual-Channel DDR2-800 2GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 160GB
Optical Drives: Samsung SH-203B/LG GDR-8164b
Speakers: Logitech R-10
OS: Windows XP Professional SP2
Monitor: 17" LCD Xplio Montior
Video Card: eVGA e-Geforce 7600GT KO 256MB DDR3

I got a 4200+ Windy up to 2.95 somewhat stable on that board. It would crash 3dmark06 after a few runs. I'm gonna try upping the chipset to 1.3125 and see what happens. I was at 1.4v vcore and the mem at 2.1v.

Watch the resulting RAM speed in the Memory tab of CPU-Z for a reference.
That RAM should hit some very good OCs but you may want to keep to a 2T CPC (Command) which seems far more friendly when OCing compared to a 2T.
The HT up to the low 1300 is usually not a problem with a good MB so adjust accordingly
The Chip set or South Bridge may get a bit voltage hungry at the higher speeds too!
There are a few RAM sub timings that may help too.
tRC: 22-26
tRFC: 105 or 127.5
Async: 6-9 try 8 first.

well, it fails to boot with 667 or 800 divider, the fsb is at 273, should i bump the chipset voltage to 1.3

Considering you likely using the default 11x you would be at 3003MHz and that isn't to likely unless you have a top notch stepping.
Your trying to move up to fast...
Shoot for 2600 and then work up slowly.
