4200+ x2 & Biostar nForce 560 - Page 2

My Biostar 560 was very sensitive to increases in the HT Link. I had to lower the HT multiplier at a reference clock of 230MHz and again at 270MHz for it to even load Windows. Very unexpected for an AM2 board. I've heard others didn't have this problem so perhaps mine was a fluke, but you might want to try lowering the HT multiplier by 1x to see if it gives you stability. The HT Link is very underutilized so don't worry about running it under 1000MHz (mine was at 810MHz with no loss in performance).

My BIOS also had a few settings that refused to "stick". No matter what I set my CPU multiplier to, or my tRAS or tRC, CPU-Z verified that they were stuck at 10x, 18, and 26 respectively. I'd go back into the BIOS and they were still at what I set them to, but apparently they didn't actually change anything. You might want to verify through CPU-Z that your settings are actually reading what the BIOS is set to.

Just a couple lesser known issues with the 560 that may or may not be relevant to your situation.
