bios wont read my cd/dvd drive

Thread Starter
ok so I just got this mobo along with the cpu and some ram and after installing it, it wont read my cd/dvd drives. My cd/dvd drives are AOpen cdr/dvdr drives. they are only about 2 years old and worked well with my other mobo. they are ata not sata and this mobo im using only has 1 ata port so I only have room for 1 dvd drive and my back up hdd.

no matter what disk drive I plug into the mobo, it wont read it in the bios or on start up. this poses a huge problem for me because I cant reinstall windows or any drivers. any ideas?
