Whats a good PWM temp?

Thread Starter
I just booted up Abit uGuru and noticed that my PWM was idling in the near 40s (C), as opposed to my cpu temp which is at 30C and my system temp which is at 25C. I was wondering what a good temp for the PWM is and whether i should be worried and if i should, how i could cool it down.

Thanks,
Voice.

I've just always made sure mine stays below 75 degrees. No facts to prove that is the correct max temp its just what I think is right. uGuru says max of 75 for the cpu when the intel max is 71. It says max of 80 for the pwm so I just assumed 75 was a good number to stay under for it. + I have ran it up to 75 and my mobo is still fine. I did the bolt mod to the stock mobo heatpipe cooler and used artic ceramique on the cooler too though.

Edit: Btw if your pwm temps are getting too high you an always buy some mounting tape(for pictures and stuff) and stick an 80mm fan to the case blowing down over the cpu power connector and the mosfet cooler. That will drop the load temps of the pwm a lot. I did that when I had the tuniq on my cpu.

Yeah you're good. Mine hovers around 35 to 45c. I guess some people with our boards have higher temps so they have to redo all the heatpipes on the board. I guess some were put together poorly. Though I think it's just the first revision.
