My new rig's problem

ok i had a other thread that i had issues with my booting problem. i got that fixed. now i have a problem with trying to load in to the OS. after the loading process i get a blue screen of death. i do not have the lastest bios update for my evga mobo 780i.

my new rig specs
Q6600 @ stock
3GB ram ( i have the other stick here was trying to install vista)
8800Gt with duorb cooler
EVGA 780i mobo
samsung something 250GB IDE
X-FI extrememusic (currently not installed in the new computer)

You installed (vista I presume) with just 2 gigs in correct?

ok i did take out 1 gb stick of the ram and now it works can anyone please link me to the hotfix

I installed Vista just fine with 4 x 1GB sticks. I actually just forgot to pull two of them but by the time it dawned on me, Vista was installed and ready to go.

check the timings, i figured out that was the cause when i had installed vista, change it from default to 5-4-4-12 2T if the sticks can run at that speed.
