Thread Starter 
My computer crashed and now my overclocked settings won't load into windows. I set everything right in bios, (3.2ghz) and then I run CPUz and it says 2.0ghz. ***?

These board are known to be stuborn. The problem is the crash free bios recovery gets stuck in a loop. You will have to clear cmos (with jumper), then go in and redo the overclock settings in bios.

speedstep, eist, c1e, enable still in bios, they should be disabled ,whats the multi in cpu-z?

All disabled. Multi is 10x. This is so frustrating.... why can't my board even handle 3 ghz stable this is ridiculous.

are you reading the bottom left corner of cpu-z where it says Core Clocks NOT under the pentium LOGO ?

Its because the board keeps loading the fail safe bios, while still maintaining the set bios settings. You must clear the bios to stop the crash free loop you are experiencing. This is a known problem!

Yeah, I know what I'm doing, it just doesn't load my settings. The gay thing is it's ****in impossible to get the cmos battery off the board, I've tried it before and gave up. Arg..

When the bios recovers from a bad OC, it will show you your overclock settings. But on reboot, it will revert to default settings. So windows loads as if you never overclocked it. This is their crash free recovery at work. The problem is, it gets stuck in a loop and needs to be cleared.

Use the jumper pin to clear it. You dont need to do a hard clear.
