Are the proprietary drivers enabled at System > Administration > Software Sources

Are you sure your graphic drivers are properly installed?

Use Envy. Envy, Envy, Envy! I don't know why people keep recommending downloading from nVidia or using restricted drivers...

yeah i dont know gunner...i am using envy for my nvidia drivers...but i want to enable the accelerated graphics driver so i have better graphic performance...

But a graphic driver IS an accelerated graphics driver...

Is the computer you have Ubuntu installed on your sig rig? I'm not sure if your graphic card is supported. Can anyone confirm?
