What next with Q6600? ADVICE

Thread Starter
I ran prime95 for 12 hours at 3.15GHZ @ 1.45 v in bios, but cpu-z shows voltage as 1.36 v. Temps max were around 56c i believe.

So suggestions on what I should try next?

Last night i couldnt get 3.6 stable with 1.5v as the BIOS setting.

Also, dont G0's function properly until 71C? I thought that was the case. If im wrong please let me know.

Yes you can get the G0 to work as long as its under 71c but I wouldn't let it get passed 65c. Just because your it can work at 71 or lower does not mean you should let it go that high.

I have accidentally let my q6600 G0 get up to 90-95C
for about 5-6 seconds then Powered Down...
It was during one of my seatings....
Ive had it run between 70-78 on a stress for about a minute....
So trust me... these 6600's are BEASTS!!
They can take a beaten and keep on ticken....
but i probably sliced about 6 months off mine....
Dont run em over 70 C on games or stress tests....
