Thread Starter
Hi,

I am looking at overclocking my 8800gts. It is on air cooling and still has the stock cooler. I would like to know the best way to overclock this card and stress test it. How much performnace will I get on my current rig. I would also like to know wat the stock speeds for the 8800gts 512 are becouse when I bought it the guy in the shop said it was overclocked, Although I dont believe it myself.

Thanks for any help.

Zotac pretty much always push their cards higher than the reference clocks so don't expect as large of an increase in terms of mhz compared to others.

Use RivaTuner to set your clocks and fan speed and then test it all with ATI Tool's artifact scan.

Sorry this is a bit off of topic but I recently had a disaster with the bios on my video card: ZOTAC ZT-88TES3P-FSP GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

I backed up the bios on a usb thumb drive and played with trying to get the system overclocked. Unfortunately the bios flash and the thumb drive failed. So I cannot use the card except in DOS mode. So I wonder if you had the bios file for this card so I can attempt a recovery.
