Are there any auto radiators that would be good for a Quad core? I was looking at getting a D-Tek FuZion Block and a D5 pump, but the radiators like PA120.3/GTX360/GTX480 are hella expensive. I mean, shouldn't auto radiators be able to handle hella heat anyways?
they'd function in the same manner, except they're usually 2" thick so either high-cfm fans or mid- to high-cfm fans in push-pull would be best.
and the other catch is that if you use them is that you've gotta figure out how to get barbs onto them, here's
a few shots of what it normally looks like afterward. mine didn't come out nearly as clean lol.
the HCs i currently use are:
'86 Chevette HC (single 120mm per side)
a PrimoChill quad-HC (4x 120mm per side) <== only reason i bought it is they wouldn't tell me which car to rip it out of hehe
the chevette HC was like $30 to buy and a few extra bucks to JB Weld
the quad-HC was $80 at moddersmart
but the quad's a PITA to figure out where to put. i ended up taking a perfectly good mid-tower and using it solely for it and a PSU to power its 8 fans X_X
