EVGA 7950GX2 Memory Speed UNDERCLOCKED!!!

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

My specs are as stated below.. I have a problem with my EVGA 7950 GX2.. When I used Rivatuner to overclock it, it shows that my Shader clock is 500Mhz and Memory clock is only 342Mhz!! The Memory clock is only 1/2 of what its stock speed should be.. Its stock specification should be:
Shader: 500Mhz
Memory: 600Mhz

This is very strange. No matter what amount I overclock my 7950 GX2 to, it still shows Shader and Memory clock of 500Mhz and 342Mhz..!! Why is this so??

I had installed the latest driver for Rivatuner and Nvidia Forceware..

Please help guys..

Try using ATITool and see what clocks show up.

Your memory is displayed using Dual Data Rate... so its actual speed is 684 MHz.. remember to multiply by two!

His card should be running @ 1200mhz, not 684. It's 600x2.

Thx for the prompt replies..

I will try to use ATITool and report my finding here..
My card is supposed to have Memory Clock of 1200Mhz (600*2).. But my current card is only 684Mhz (342*2).. This is really strange..

I had used ATItool and it shows 342Mhz for Memory clock..
I used GPU-Z and it shows card 1: Core Clock 500Mhz and Memory Clock 700Mhz
card 2: Core Clock 500Mhz and Memory clock 342Mhz

This is really strange..

Previously, I had set Rivatuner to overclock my card to Core 600Mhz and Memory 700Mhz.. It seems that the 1st card is getting the message although only for its Memory clock and not its Core clock..
Why is this so???
