Metroid Prime 3: Corruption or Super Mario Galaxy?

Thread Starter
This thread is simple, really. I just want to know what YOU think is a better choice between Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy I played the first metroid prime back on the GC and enjoyed it very much, same with Mario sunshine.

I just can't make a decision judging off of screens/videos i need personal advice from people who actually own these games, your opinion + help is much appreciated!

i have both and i would say you get prime 3

i played the first prime and never finished it (got lost, then stopped playing it for too long) but i found the second to be less confusing (which may be a problem for you if you liked the difficulty)

smg is really fun and there are some moments where you will jump on a planet and orbit twice before landing back down, trippy...
the camera system is hit and miss though and in some of the more ambitious levels, it gets in the way.

PS: the FPS control in prime isint that amazing, but it works well (very sensitive at first)

get both, lol......you can find a BUNCH of games that people bought/played/beat, and are now selling their mint games on ebay

that's how i get alot of games and you can usually save 15 or so off the retail, and there's no tax on ebay

I have both games, and depending on your play style there are differences between the two.

Galaxy is fun and I keep coming back to it. That being said, it's a mario game, and there are days when I still load up the original mario because they are just fun games. The story line is not bad, the colors are pretty. Controls are pretty similar to Mario64 from back in the day.

Metroid is a blast. There is a lot of WiiMote aiming, as the aim is the direction your head turns on the screen. There also is a lot more WiiMote interaction. To open the doors in game you have to activate the door, pull the controller, rotate it, then push it back in. That depth of control for me was very immersive. It was one of the first fps games where I kinda felt like I was there.

I personally vote for SMG.

I own both and while Metriod was easily the best Metriod in the Prime series, I personally think Super Metriod holds best Metriod ever title, SMG was pure Mario 64 style fun.

Either way you can't go wrong. Really they are both great games. But if you're wondering which to get first I say Mario is the way to go.

the controls are great and very immersive,it feels like you're samus!
game play is great but the graphics aren't much better than prime 2.

Mario Galaxy has the highest metacritic rating of any video game, ever. This isn't even a choice...Mario trumps Metroid without even trying.
