The reviews on the Egg are pretty good but I'm wondering if any of you have an opinion.

Thanks guys!

I would say no. 90% (this one included) of 2x2Gb kits have terrible bandwidth performance. I believe this kit is around 6k mb/s continuous read bandwidth and the crucial memory you have now w/ Micron D9xxx has over 7k @ 800mhz ~8k 900mhz and close to 9k mb/s @ 1000mhz.

In short, if you get this 2x2gb kit, you will lost some of the "snap" in your system.

Thanks for the info.

This wouldn't be for my rig. I love my Ballistix but I have a friend wanting a cheap 4GB

nothing wrong with those as a cheap kit for your friend.

I used three sets for others with moderate OC in past few weeks. They works fine.

Yea, if they are for your friend that isn't too worried about having top of the line performance, it is a good cheap RAM.

If he is looking for cheap RAM, I'd doubt he would notice anyways.
