When I first tried Linux, I kept my XP partition intact.
I almost never booted into it after that, though.

I also dual boot sometimes to try other distros of Linux, just keeping the /home directory the same and making another /boot directory.

XP x86 and Vista Ultimate x64. i will also be installing Ubuntu 8.04 and Hackintish in the near future.

i guess i will be quad booting? lol

I have:

XP 32-bit for everything except programming.
Ubuntu 7.10 for programming.

I tried dual booting XP Pro and Fedora Core 6 last year because someone in my dorm said it was great and virus-free...It worked, but it didn't work with my Asus P5B's ethernet card. Honestly, I think Linux is leet, but it's too much work if you're more concerned with gaming than tinkering. As of now, I just single with Vista, it works great for me.
