Some users, though, have reported success in cross-flashing a T-Force BIOS onto their GeForce 6100-939s/M9s. I wouldn't try that myself...
hmmm.. well thats good to know, and saddening lol

I'll have to do some thinking...

Arbalest, if a dual core is to much then look for a 3700+ San Diego S939. I see quite a few those hitting 3Ghz. You could also swap out your PCI-E X800XL with a 3870 and call it done.

Good luck

Just go for the C2D... After you get it, run a couple benchmarks, and you won't miss the 939.

You'll be doing yourself a favor (getting a faster computer), and doing us a favor (helping is with folding.)

If money is an issue - just get replacement equipment for your 939.

Thanks everyone!

I actually am picking up an x2 3800, and 2gb of A-Data ram from shifty22123 tonight after work!

That should get me by for a little while, until I'm done spending money on wedding stuff (for the next 12 months!) lol

Then its C2D time! Unless AMD pulls something out of its sleeve!
