I recently built a PC only for it to all of a sudden have some sort of power surge and not boot up again. I replaced the PSU which gives power to the system (all the lights go on and the fans spin) but nothing boots (also when connecting the CPU fan to the CPU_Fan slot connector it doesnt work, but it will when connecting to the PWR_FAN.) The PSU shows the wattage at the back and it says there is only 20 to 25W going to the system. I'm guessing its either CPU or MOBO failure (based upon CPU_FAN not working) possibly caused by that power surge. I have a Core2 Duo E8400 and the mobo is a Gigabyte X38-DS4. Any ideas before I go try buying a new mobo???
