TRUE orientation?

What is the best orientation for the TRUE? I have a CM690 and I have 2 120mm exhaust fans on the top of my case, and 1 120mm exhaust fan on the back. Right now I have the TRUE pointed to exhaust on the top of my case. I was thinking I'd get better heat removal that way since the two fans. After thinking about it some more, I thought to myself that maybe I'd be better off the way I've always oriented my HSF, pulling air from my front intake fans and blowing it out the back. Do you think I'd net better results this way?

Eiter way seems effective, just make sure the fan on the TRUE is blowing air onto the heatsink rather than pulling heat off.

In my experience with my Antec 900, it seems to depend on where the front case intake fans are located. Since I'm assuming you haven't added any other front intake fans to your CM690, I think it would be best to keep the TRUE like you have it. That way it can suck up all the cool air that's coming from the bottom front intake fan. If you have an intake fan at the top where your drive bays are located, you'd probably want to have your TRUE pushing air out the back and not the top.

I say leave it like you have it just so some of the liquid inside the pipes isn't "fighting" against gravity.

I have added a 120mm fan about my lower one btw and it blows right onto where my TRUE is.

i had the same situation as you.

i started off with my TRUE facing the top, but i changed it, as i have 2 fans 5.25 bays.

temps droped about 4 degres, and the air flow is now a lot better.

if you have a TRUE you;ll have to take out the left exhaust fan though to make the thing fit.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure it fit when I aligned it the first time. I'll have to check that out.
