You know who I really hate? People who think like this:

Carrie, the upscale Urban Trendsetter, needs Best Buy to "Pull it together for ME ... My Lifestyle is really ALL ABOUT ME."

lol maybe this is why I can't get any service at bestbuy.

in their audio rooms 3-4 times already and an employee might walk in helping someone else out. once their question is done they leave without even asking me if I want help. or just walk in look at me walk right out or who knows.

only time I really was offered help was as I was walking about the door cause I was complaining that the employees just flat out ignore me if they see me and other then that I can't seem to find one.

oh well I know I'm better off not buying there anyway it's just easier sometiems.

One thing is, if your store is the popular one around and sells lots of computers, don't work in computers (PCHO) on a sunday. You will hate it. The employees are fun and its funny as hell when customers piss employees and they go off on them.

But they have a right to because customers feel sometimes that they don't need to treat us with respect by whistling at us, demanding us to help them, and calling us stupid. Basically your gonna learn how to talk back and gain respect if someone gets into it with you.

Treat employees with respect and we will help you nicely. Come in to the store demanding and in a bad mood, you bet your ass we will drop your laptop from the ladder or tell you we don't have ... sit in stock when we really do.
lol.. thats the exact reason i shop at newegg, instead of places like best buy...uptight kids who don't wanna do their darn job...kids now think they are tight stuff because they got 1,000 friends on myspace... attitude like that you should never work at a retail store.... most places will fire you for being rude to customers (yes even if they are rude to you)..

You should rethink your profession if you cant deal handle uptight customers.

Shoot, one time i bought a desk at fry's.. and it was in the wharehouse part of the store.. and the guys that work in the wharehouse couldnt find it (listed as 10 in stock).. so they came back out after a half hour of looking and told me they cant find them an they arent in the wharehouse.... So i was like "Oh wow, you cant find them ? Someone must have stolen them ?!?!? you should call the police and report this right now !! Go get your manager"

So the manager came out, i told her they cant find them and said they dont have them.. she scowled at them.. they went in the back... and 15 minutes later.. out came my desk...

Im sick of people that want to get paid to do nothing....... if you do not like your job.. QUIT .. dont loaf and avoid customers just becuase you are mad at the world..

I worked at Best Buy as the Digital Imaging (DI) Supervisor. Best Buy does have some employees that are willing to treat each customer as an open book without prejudice, but they are few and far between. Best Buy is an evil company at it's core, much like Wal-Mart, and Home Depot. I remember when I first found bestbuysux.org three years ago. It had nearly four years of documented complaints from previous employees and customer about the unethical practices. I recently tried to visit that old website only to find it replaced with Best Buy propaganda. It makes me sad.

While I was the DI supe, I was directly told from the loss prevention manager to place blame for a missing camcorder onto one of the seasonal employees (during christmas time) or I would be held accountable for it and fired. That was the day I quit. I wasn't going to stand by while they framed some unsuspecting employee for theft.

A month after I left the company, my friend and manager in Appliances was demoted while on medical leave getting cancer treatment. He was told that he would no longer be a full time employee and void of benefits upon his return. He never went back.

Okay, I'm ending my best buy rant now... BEST BUY IS EVIL, sorry, it slipped out.

Comparing Best Buy to Walmart is like comparing dying of natural causes in your sleep to dying by being ripped limb from limb by a rabid oppossum. It is quite clear which is worse in both instances...

And I can believe that horror stories happened, but often enough they are exaggerated beyond recognition by the alleged victim in order to elicit sympathy. So, you'll have to excuse me if I take such things with a grain of salt without documented evidence (like there is in cases against Walmart).

What pisses me off about Best Buy is they don't take me seriously when I shop there.

I recently picked up several nice speakers from their "Magnolia" department. I must have waited around for a good hour while the employees helped other people first because they assumed I wasn't going to buy anything, presumably because I'm younger than the typical Magnolia shopper (I'm 25). So when I told the guy what I wanted he was surprised.

Same thing happens to me in Guitar Center too. I surprised one salesmen when I bought a $1300 Martin guitar. He was pissed he didn't make the sale and another guy did. "Well sir, you should have paid me more attention."

I've never had customer service like that before. Maybe it's just the Midwest hospitality/kindness, but I've always been taken seriously at any store: furniture stores, electronic stores... Maybe everyone on the east coast does suck.
