Hi
Im totally lost at overclocking i've searched on google and few overclocking guides including one on here but im not 100% sure on bios settings that i should have so i was hoping that someone here might have same processor and board as me and please give me a idea what bios settings i should be selecting to get it overclocked with it still running ok.

If anyone can help my system is

E2200 Processor
ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP
Corsair 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
8800GT OC edition 512MB
Arctic Power 700W PSU

Thanks

For a start try like this.
Try like this; Put fsb on 333 and,set multi on 9.Vcore on 1.375 ok.Load line calibration set on(If its old version of bios that shud be "cpu voltage dumper"). Transaction booster set off.
Memory stock, and put stock timings or if U dont know, dont touch it. Everything else leave on "auto".

Thanks ive now set the Fsb frequency at 333 the ratio CMOS 9 and cpu volt at 1.375 i also set the Dram to 5,5,5,12 which is rating memory has on.

Ive run Cpu-z and the core speed keeps going up and down from 2003.9mhz to 3005.8mhz is that right or should it stay at top speed ? ive also checked the temp and its not gone up much but i havent really done much with the computer to try it out too much really.

I run Intel thermal analsys tool that says 3000mhz and still not much increase on the temp and my vista score has gone up .6 aswell

Do some testings with orthos(put priority on 9) blend test, some occt testing.Run orthos at least 5 hours.Watch the temps man.If not pass, maybe U need nb volt. or v.cpu & v.ram. I hope this was helpfull for U
BTW To go on higher scores U shud disable c1e & eist(speedstep).

Right i run Orthos twice the first time after maybe 30mins the pc reset so i tried running Orthos again and got the message in the attached photo below and i ended up with a program not responding message from Vista afterwards.

I tested out few games such as Crysis and apps on my system and it appeared stable last night and this morning so im suprised it didnt run Orthos ok

What are all your voltages set to in the bios? Are you giving your ram the proper 1.9v (I'm assuming you have these corsair since you are running them at cas 5).

Also, run CPU-Z and tell me what it shows under the memory tab.

Disable speedstep!Put a little bit vcore(1.385),and go for it. Put a little bit nb voltage(1.40) and fsb termination v. (1.30).If it fails go for more vcore
U must pass the orthos test for pc stability man,and occt test.Memory;timings ,voltage & freq,- STOCK

EDIT ; Are U sure that U put the 333 X 9 in bios? In orthos ss I see like 360fsb!!!
See this is your motherboard video and the settings.Do just like this, but where he puts 10,U put 9.And wher he put from 266 till 280,U put 333.
