It might not be exactly right but I think i'm on to something here. Look at your resource manager. You should have 4 folding threads. Two threads will be consistently using more resources than the other two. It seems like this is intensional so as to not use the full
100% of the CPU's capacity (I can fold and surf, listen to music etc). It is just a limited amount of reserved resources because I can't run a game and fold at the same time.
Prime95 on the other hand uses all 4 cores evenly and most of the time my temps are within a 0-2C difference.
