How much performance difference are there between Q6600 vs Q9450?
is it worth it getting Q9450 beside price?

I wouldn't really switch i have a Q6600 at 3.5ghz and thats plenty fast who needs more then 3.2ghz on a quad anyways.

Seems to much money to me. wait for the six cores.

well im going to be building another new computer in 1 month Q6600 pretty cheap now though.
I can't find any bench mark result comparison between q6600 vs Q9450

over the coming years the market is going to be seeing more of multiple cores instead of higher clock speeds. Unless there is breakthrough in that technology.

don't...cuz then when you buy the Q9450, there will be another one coming, and it's going to be better and you'll try to catch up...so take the Q6600 which is pretty cheap and works great...buy the G0 revision and you are set...

You could opt for the q6600 and buy a good graphics card with the rest of the money. Your performance gains will be greater if you go this way.
