Thanks!

It'll be a while before I get a chance to thermal test and that's only if they send me a final production copy. They were planning to make some minor tweaks to things like the barb threads, paint, and some shroud stuff.

I would like to try doing some rad thermal testing stuff though and at least figure out the amount of heat I'm adding in. I bought a 3am Variac and I've got my typical multimeters as well as a kill-a-watt I can use to measure my heating source.

On the to do list, but in the mean time I'm working on borrowing a PA120.3 to complete this comparison right at lest.

A simple test addition...fabricate a simple shroud and using several reference 'fans' (a vacuum pump may be better), measure the pressure drop in the air across the radiator.

The references could probably be matched to different real world fans. With a reference 'radiator', the test could be reversed to show where suction created by different fans.

You probably have all the gear to do the test, and could fabricate the shrouds in an afternoon.

Good idea!
I just don't have an air flow meter so it would only be a pressure drop per fan setup. It would be a nice way to look at the fin density though. I'll have to look at that though.

Pressure drop would be an inverse of flow, wouldn't it?
