6800... my first performance card.. pulled me threw so many games.. Underpowered too.. Replaced a old dells Geforce MX4 with a 6800 and the dell only had a 200w power supply... minimal requirements was 300 recommended 350... it ran tho.. Well before i even knew anything about computers... it ran good and reliable even until today... sitting in that old dell in the guest room... I think I'm going to go visit it... ttyl

Hmm....hard to say for sure. I really like my 8800GT right now, but I'd have to say that my first 3D video card (and really the first ever hardware accellerated 3D video card) the Creative Labs 3D Blaster, based on the Verite 1000 chipset. Vquake at 400x300 was awesome!

I've even still got the video card, and sometimes it comes out of hiding for testing, when an AGP or PCI-E video card isn't behaving properly. Who woulda thought a video card I bought 11 years ago would still be kicking?

ATi Rage 128. First video card I've ever bought alone (before I bought all-in-one pcs). Used it all the way up to 2006-07. Now, I can't believe I lasted that long with that thing. But when all I played back then was StarCraft and CS 1.6, I guess you don't need any better.

Magic3D (3DFX) 8Mb PCI. Setup was the same as (Edit) Chozart's Diamond. Had to run the link cable from the vga port of the graphic card to a 4mb VGA card.

That was my first graphic accelerator card and all because i wanted my game to run like the demo i saw in Need for Speed II Special Edition. i ran lotsa game from Hexen II to Need for speed and even Half-life 1 with team fortress. Those were the good days then of course came my 3D Prophet Hercules Radeon 9800 128mb Pro. Got me HL2 GOld package from that too
