Corsair ddr2 800mhz question - Page 2

Those timings are quite loose and certainly won't harm the memory, just your performance.

Voltage is the primary concern when talking about longevity. 2.1v should be fine for extended use, but I would not go higher without active cooling.

did you even try running memtest to see if they are stable? I've got Corsair twin2x 6400c4's 2x1gb running at 850mhz with timings on 4-4-4-10 and they pass 40 instances of memtest no problem, but thats the lowest i probably will go longterm usage with them. I read somewhere a datasheet with my ram on it and the max. settings one would use with them longterm:

Below 700Mhz

4-4-4-10
4-4-3-9
4-3-3-10
4-3-3-9

750 - 4-3-3-10
800 - 4-4-4-10 or 4-4-3-9
850 - 4-4-4-12
900 - 5-4-4-12
1000 - 5-5-5-15 or 5-5-5-12
over 1000 - 5-5-5-15 or looser.

So you see your 5-7-7-22 is loose timings but will probably be ok for your RAM. 2.1v is whats recommended for my ram @ 800Mhz with timings of 4-4-4-12 tested by manufacturer. I would check more on the net with the eact name and model of your ram plus add search words such as "overclock" or "timing(s)". It sounds bad but the best knowledge you can get is if someone fried their ram at a certain clock speed and voltage and you know not to go that high/tight with your settings.

Hope this helps.

p.s. whats in the summmmm... and hottest girl folders?
