Do not get a 8600GT.. save up a bit more and get the cheapest 8800 you can find. It makes a worlds difference. The 8600GT is not that good at gaming. You'd be better getting a 7800 or a 7900
In this case I would go with the x1950Pro rig. If thats the highest price you can do. It will be much faster than the 8600GT.
I would prefer getting a 9600GT for $50 more (XFX has a $30 MIR right now), and saving on the CPU Cooler (Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro for $27). You're re-using the motherboard, so you are fully permitted to reuse the OS as well, by the way, if you can. Microsoft treats each license as motherboard bound; a new motherboard technically needs a new OS, but a new computer using the same board the OS can be reinstalled without a new license.
hey.... i have a 8600GT(256MB) from MSI and soon gonna get a second 8600GT. an 8600GT plays Crysis, Timeshift, UT3, and Hellgate London all above 35FPS

Including your settings would help quite a bit...
Your telling us you can max crysis on a 8600GT? That what people are going to assume if you don't give any settings.
Seeing as an 8800GT [512] can only run crysis @About 30FPS on Medium/High with a Q6600, i highly doubt your 8600GT is running those settings with 35FPS... Maybe 3-5FPS

Its possible if hes running 1280x1024 and no aa/af/vsync. But I don't exactly call it good.. he'd be much better selling that 8600 and grabbing a 8800GT/GTS instead of sling 2x 8600 IMHO.

Yea man i'm not trying to flame you or anything just trying to help you.
I've used sli for almost 3 years and it should be avoided at all costs. It's rather buggy with quite a few games and the performance from one game to the next varys ALOT, sometimes you just have to flat out remove SLI to get a game to work. If you havn't already ordered another 8600GT, i'd go for a 8800GT or the new revised GTS if possible.
Anway I think we've hijack this thread enough. lol

No-no. I was one of the lucky ones to get a max extreme for 30bux. I'm building a 2nd rig with extra parts. They are already in hand. So, I cant save money on them. They include...
ASUS P5E
4x1 Ballistix 8500
SATAII Seagate 7200.9
Tuniq tower
