Oh, like i said, ive been interested in aftermarket cooling, but the mail system + me at the moment isn't working very wel *whistles*

I haven't OCed the mem yet... I'm not sure how to test for stability/artifacts correctly. I just ran 3DMark06 SM3.0 Graphics Test 1 time (2 videos) and didn't see anything out of the ordinary and called it a day because isaw it hit 94... Fan (controller) doesn't work correctly with this card as I pointed out in an earlier post in this thread.

Edit* ATI Tool doesn't work on my proprietary dell...
I was going based on your rig specs:

Graphics Card - Core
Stock: 675
Overclocked:777
Graphics Card - Memory
Stock: 1008
Overclocked:1209

That's showing an overclock and a very substantial one at that.

I was at 800 on the GPU when i hit the 94. Ive yet to clock the memory yet.

Should I just not worry about it and just RMA it when/if it craps out on me?

Even with a 777mhz core I'm surprised that you are able to do anything without it locking up. Mine is at 740mhz and it isn't ATI Tool stable but it's stable enough to play games because it doesn't get stressed enough to cause any issues.

I'm kind of stumped on how you could even get it that high without a voltage modification.

Anyway, I'd say keep your temperatures at 80 degrees or lower just to be sure. You said you're getting a new cooler so that'll do wonders I'm sure.

Can you toss up a GPU-Z validation link so I can see what your bandwidth is at just for kicks?

Ok, I just ran 3dmark06 sm3.0 test 3 times and i was able to hit 95*C with 840mhz gpu clock and mem at 1000.

I will post a GPU-Z validation link after i do some more over clocking o_o. What program should I use to test for artifacats besides ATITool, as its not compatible with my computer.

P.S. what does bandwitdh do?

Download RivaTuner and turn your fan speed up on your GPU. That will help a bit. Turn up to 60 - 70% provided its not too loud for you.

XFX 8600GTS have fan problems, they won't stay at 100% while in 3D mode.

I can vouche for that. Arg...I need a floppy drive so I can flash that BIOS of mine and set it for 100% all the time since I play with cups on anyway so it doesn't matter to me.

I answered your question about bandwidth via PM but I did notice something wrong with your GPU-Z validation. Your bandwidth is crippled at 32.3Gb/s while mine is at 36.9Gb/s even though my overclock is lower.

32.3Gb/s is the default bandwidth if your clocks were at stock speed so either something is going on with your card or GPU-Z is being a punk and not reporting things properly.

Now your pixel and texture fill rate is burying mine as it should.

I wonder what's up with your bandwidth?

***EDIT***
Sorry about this. I should have edited the post above.
