Selling e6600 Need some quick info.

Thread Starter
I'm selling my E6600 for a Q6600 and I was wondering, If I remove the CPU do the overclock settings follow it? or are they not stored in the CPU ?

I would reset your bios manually before installing a new CPU.

Either way you will need to completely redo your overclock because the Q6600 is a totally difference processor than the E6600.

Your settings would be stored in the BIOS. When you remove that processor and put it in a another computer its going to go back to stock. No overclocking settings are stored in it.

The overclock settings are saved in the BIOS. Thats why there is a battery.
