Windows help i keep getting the BSOD

Thread Starter
i am working on a pc and i have done every virus scan, adware, malware scan i have. I still keep getting errors saying (when online) saying explorer had to close would i like to send error report???? and then after about 2 min's i will get the bsod. the codes seem to change everytime. I have also ran memtest and swapped the ram. I dont believe its a hardware problem. I also tried the ultimate boot cd and it wont let me run the virus scans off of that it keeps saying files missing. any ideas what steps to take next??? thanks

Try booting from a Live CD like Ubuntu, and if it doesn't screw up in that and it's not a hardrive problem, Windows is probably messed up.

Reinstalling Windows? I just set the BIOS to boot on to the OS disc and I go on from there.

I think he's trying to do a repair, but he doesn't have the OS disc.

*Edit: actually I think he has the disc, but doesn't realize that's the correct one.

Boot off the disc and do a repair.
