could loosen memory timings to find your max cpu oc, but 2.4 is a decent rating and may be the max you can run
post #13 of 33
Thread Starter
should the memory timing be 1T or 2T cuz right now its 2T and should i up the Mhz on the memory? or leave it at 200?

oh and after 7 min my temp has been steady at 34 C / 93 F

firstly sorry for giving the wrong link and thanks to the forum member for giving you the right one ^^

Anyway, after a certain llimit of OC increasing the voltage is a must as the cpu simply is not reciving enough power to compensate the extra work you want itto do. The temps look great though so great work there

Whats your CPU rated at for max voltage? what has AMD said is the maximum voltage these cpu's can take? Try find that out and work with that figure as your max.

Your increasing the FSB so that should inturn overclock the ram also. So though its at 200mhz its running higher (download CPU-z to check).

btw whats your cpu speed currently? what FSB are you running at? are those temps you stated, 65c on your current config? if so i wouldnt recommend going any higher. To me 60 is the limit you should take it though others say 65 is good. Its personal preferance what your happy with. But if your hitting them temps now your gonna need better cooling for your system, a new HSF and possibly something to cool your NB down if thats also going high.

If you have oced try increasing the ram to what it should be and start PC and check temps and stability, not stable lower the ram. Also lower the HT to 3x-4x to help stability.

ONE THING TO NOTE - if your PC refuses to boot up at all once changing the ram, dont panic. turn PC off from back and remove the battery from the motherboard for a minute to clear CMOS and put it back in everything should reset and your PC should start fine.

Hope this helps
