Misc. Supplies

AC Ryan Radgrillz (2)120x3, (2)120x1(Custom 120x4's)

The Case

The case.

It's HUGE!

The Radiator

First thing I started on was the radiator. It's a MCR-320 with Scythe Ultra Kaze 133CFM fans.

It fits!

Barely...

AC Ryan 3x120 Radgillz.

The HDD Cages

Original

Time for some drilling.. I had to move the cages in by about 1.5"

Finished.. Now the hdd's can be installed with the plugs being in the back.

Center Divider

Side panel from a mac g5 ready to get cannibalized for the cause.

Leveling..

Some more...

The bolts holding it in place.

The divider mounted up.

Another shot. I will most likely polish it out, so more on this soon.

The Darkness

The D-tek

I decided to make a black plexi cover for the block, so it would match better. I also o-ringed it.

The o-ring in question. These were a bit big on the OD, but work just fine. Zero bypass now!

More to come soon.

No fan. I add an old one myself.

I am watching this closely since I've got the same case and similar aspirations.

Thanks guys, glad everyone is enjoying it. I'll have some sort of update tonight. It all depends on what the UPS guy brings me.. I'm also thinking about just painting the divider, as polishing would be a pain; or maybe a rough sanding would do.

ice_owl, it does look cool but we will see how it performs. I still have not fired this board up.

Looks very clean. Love the case.

so size fitting wise, why was the MCR320 close? Was it because of the 5.25 bays?

The problem was not front to back, as a 480 gtx would clear length wise. It was the clearance between the fans and the motherboard. There is only about 1/4" between the two. So if you would go with a thicker rad, then you can't fit shrouds. It would be one or the other.

#20 ·
got ya, that was my line of thinking, so you could go with a 25mm shroud and probably get a little bit of that space back then.

#21 ·
The shrouds I used are 25mm. The fans are 38mm. There isn't much to work with, unless you scrap the shrouds.. or get 25mm fans.

Wow, yeah on second look I see that now. Probably could go without shrouds and just seal it with foam, as long as it's airtight through there you should get decent pull.

Thats some very good work your doing there

You need a window to show off your water cooling

There will be a window, or maybe two. The smoked acrylic didn't arrive yet tho. I did get some other acrylic for the res, and some junk from McMaster-Carr. Pics in a few, but no real progress happened today. Thanks for the comments.
