Wireless N-Router?

I have this PCI Card

Would I benefit from a wireless N Router? I need some sort of powerful router because my desktop will soon have to run wireless internet and my current router will not cut it for when I get back from school!

What would be my options for optimal coverage? External Antennas? buying that one 'overclockable' router? (wireless G...)

I certainly think that the D-Link router is good option. IMO, gaming routers don't really do anything except look nice.

N routers are still pretty expensive. Because the N standard isn't complete yet, not all N products work well together. Since you already have a Trendnet N card, I'd suggest getting a Trendnet N router. Otherwise, you might not get the speed and range.

I blew $300 on a Belkin N1 router and adaptor awhile back. The first week, I was very impressed but for some reason performance took a crap after that. I'm not sold on N stuff...if you want speed and reliability, run a wire.

And that is a great suggestion, Ill start lookin to see what TrendNet has to offer..

And Wire isnt an option considering where my desktop is going... unless you consider routing an ethernet cable on the outside of a wall scaling from window to window with 50ft of RED outside the white house lolz

You could always get a white cable.

i stick with a linksys wireless N, its just reliable, its worth the money. I have it wired to my computer and it distributes a wireless signal to 3 other laptops in my house. And i have it sitting in the basement, signal never dies. However, when i was doing some very large file transfers (like 10GB stuff) from one computer to mine over my wireless home network...the computer that would be transferring would lose its signal. But its a 6 year old computer if it matters. I try to stick to wired as much as possible.

Well then the birds would poop on it...seeing as there is poop all over the side of my house!

But Ive thought of this but I dont know how to un-intrusevly route the wire out of the house, then back into my room! We have a security system so opening windows isn't an option
