Well, it is a simple fact of getting what you pay for. If you payed for expedited shipping and did not receive it through no fault of your own, I do not see how you would be entitled to pay for it. Thats what common sense tells me

Maybe it is different in the UK, but express shipping can cost anywhere from $20-$100 more depending on weight and location. It is not a matter of losing $5-$7. Also, I as a consumer could care less the reason the package didn't arrive. I have lost $5000+ repair jobs as I didn't have parts I needed on time. (not to mention the loss of the customer) there is nothing greedy about that. If he wanted a full refund on shipping or a bunch of free stuff, then yeah, thats a bit over the top. To expect some compensation for services paod for, but not received is justified to me.

Thank you. I think you pointed out my intentions better than I did. I'm not greedy I just want the difference from what was given and what was paid for. Nothing more... Or at least an attempt on their part.

I do agree. I'm not sure what DD's like since I haven't dealt with them, but overnight service is overnight. That's why you pay a premium for it. FedEx sure took your money easily enough.

Someone owes you $20, that's for sure. DD should go to bat for you. My suggestion is: try to get them on your side against FedEx.
