Breaking past 3.4GHz

Thread Starter
okay so here's the deal. i've been able to oc so far up to 3.4GHz and hold it stable. i tried to push it up to 3.6GHz and had a crash. it would load up until the welcome screen for XP and then restart. I'm not sure here what to try. Any advice would be great.

maybe you need more volts, you should also set your ram 1:1 ratio with the fsb

I agree. Try upping your Vcore but try to not exceed 1.5

Oh okay, well nevermind then. Do you have access to the multiplier?

Okay. When I overclocked I had to make sure I left my RAM alone because that was getting messed up, because when I changed my CPU frequency it would automatically adjust my RAM frequency too, but not it's voltages. So If you just want to take your CPU up, leave the RAM at stock for now.
