IMHO the only X48 worthy of the hype is the Foxconn Blackops... That board really separates itself from the rest of the pack.

Attachment 68939
472FSB Q6600

Attachment 68940
494FSB e2140

Keep in mind these figures reflect both ES mobos and premature bios's...

RPIJG, if you want massive FSB then you should really look a few generations back. The p965 is the current reigning FSB champion

Yes it will. Most have to turn it horizontal but i've read where someone has it vertical. The poster said it was touching the NB fins but it does fit. I'll know tomorrow as that's when i'll be building mine.

Update on fitment of the TRUE. It fits horizontally fine and is the way I ended up installing it. This gives active cooling for the NB HS from the TRUE 120mm fan. Mounting it vertically requires some slight grinding of the top of the NB HS, it hits one of the TRUE heatpipes. Vertically also makes it challenging to get good airflow through the NB HS fins unless you use one of the other PCIE slots for your GPU. I opted not to do this as I want my SB to get good airflow too. I have the Enzotech SLF-1 with fan on the SB.

Everything fired up nicely on mostly auto settings and XP installed without a hitch. Once I figure out this damn bios, i'll start to OC it.

Congrats on your new build. What proc are you going with? I know there have been alot of sales on q6600 (like mine). The Q9450 looks good too and the price isn't that crazy at Tankguys. the lower multi is the only con I can think of.
