SATA 2 cable help

Thread Starter
I need to buy a new SATA cable to connect my mobo to my hard drive and another SATA cable to connect my mobo and DVD drive. My computer is a new Dell Inspiron 530 and I'm doing this in order to install a new GPU. The 8800GTS will cover up two of my SATA connections on my mobo, so i'm going to switch the current SATA cables with cables that have right angle connectors, which should buy me enough room to install the GPU. Here's my question, are these SATA cables generic or are they very specific? Can I order any SATA 2 cable?

My hard drive is a 320GB Serial ATA 2

Any Sata cable will do. You can even get a Sata1 cable, there's no real difference except Sata2 cables have securing brackets. It's just marketing hype.

Are you talking about the width of the connector? I believe my current cables are 7 pin connectors
