Visiontek Radeon X1550 / 256MB DDR2 / AGP - Page 2

Ok I have a PCIE X1550 128MB in my server with the following:
AMD Athlon 3500+ s939
1GB Ram
Asus A8R-MVP
with a Rosewill 350watt PSU

I have run a few games on this computer:
UT3 Low settings 1024x768 20-40 FPS
Stalker Med 30FPS
Jade Empire, High, 45FPS

That should give you an idea of what to expect with it.

Quick edit: what is your price limit?

What's your budget? You can snag a 7600GT PCI-Express from the For Sale section here for $40...

If you can give me a TigerDirect link it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

If it's an AGP card I wouldn't buy new most of the time since it's so much cheaper used (You can get 6800s for $50 regularly on eBay)...but if you must get it from TD it would be nice to know your budget first.
Laptop...awesome.

Thread Starter
OK I have only a single AGP slot (x8) and 3 PCI... My budget is from 0$ to about 80$. I would like to play some games and have dual monitor support.

Games I would like to play...
-Guitar Hero 3
-Orange Box
-Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix (SMOOTHLY)
-BF2
-Need For Speed

I know this is asking a lot for a card under 80$ but if there's something just a little more I'm all ears. Also I have a 250W P/S so if I have to upgrade please tell me.

Thanks,

Blank

HEy guys i just read al your comments
And I don't fully agree with your oppinions about the x1550

I have an x1550 agp8x with 512mb, and I agree it's not exactly the best card there is, but it's a reasonable card in my opinion, i've played the so called heaviest game there is with it, and it did great with 1024x768(the rest on low ofcourse)
, ow and i mean crysis

So I really don't think the card is as bad as you al say

IS there any explenation??

Ps I'm sorry for my bad english  its not my own language
