3870 crossfire problem

Thread Starter
I am having troubles with my crossfire setup. I don't see any performance increases from a single card. I updated drivers, enabled crossfirex, checked the bios, and everything else there is to do. I have windows xp and dual 3870's, M2R32-MVP Motherboard, and an AMD 6000+. I have no idea what the problem could be any help would be appreciated.

what size is your CRT there? You may not see a difference if it's less than 1280x1024, and even at that, the benifit may not be much. Crossfire is best on higher resolution monitors.

I'm on a 22" LCD now 1650x1080. I really need to update that

You better update your spec first before you post your question.
I had same problem as you when I first setup my Crossfire (HIS 3870 ICEQ3)
The thing is that it only works on certain games.

Hellgate London : No boost (same as single)
Crysis : Worse (better with single)
Assassin's Creed : Better performance (Max setup @40- fps)
Call of Duty 4 : Better performance (Max setup @30- fps)
Titan Quest : Worse (delay and lag, better with single)
Simcity Society : No boost (same as single)

Any update would be appreciated as a CF user too

So Crossfire lowers performance? That's useless.
