I really need quieter fans for my T.R.U.E.

Thread Starter
I currently own 2x 2000rpm scythe ultra kaze fans but I only have 1 mounted on my T.R.U.E right now because I have been too lazy to order a second set of fan clips..

anyways..

this one fan is really driving me crazy when I am trying to leave my computer on at night.. the case fans are silent on low and I have no problem with them I just need 2 fans for my TRUE for the push/pull setup that are going to be alot quieter..

I think the DBA on them right now is like 32.. but only one is on remember so.. it would be even louder with the other mounted

anyhow..

I need some suggestions on fans for my setup to keep it cool @ 3.4ghz

or should I just get a fan controller?

Depends on what you are willign

I would buy 2 Low RPM fans and just ZIP tie them to your TRUE... tis what I did! works great and I cant hear it over my other fans >.>

Dead silent at full speed! two of them make for great work!

Well if it's the fan on your cpu you can set it in the bios to speed up at certain temperatures so that's it's only spinning full speed when the chip is in load.

I would just spend $30 on a fan speed controller.

Those things are magical XD

I have one (came with case), and whenever im watching a movie or what not, i just turn them down so their inaudible. (i have 5 80mm fans at 34 dBA, 2600RPMs each).

Id suggest the SIlenX iXtrema Pro series
14dba at 1400RPM, 72CFM!!!! unlike some others, the cfm is actually high in real-world scenarios. have 2 of them, one for intake, one for exhaust. But i did have one on the TRUE for a while before I decided to put an Antec Tricool , since i can balance coolness and sound.

heres the Silenx fan as intake:

heres the Tricool on my TRUE

top fan is also a Tricool

case is COSMOS

There is no way that fan pushes 72cfm with only 14dba false advertising
